Oshie is a language-learning app for realtime conversation practice. This policy explains the data Oshie uses to provide accounts, voice conversations, learner memory, subscriptions, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and support.
Information We Process
- Account information from Sign in with Apple, including a stable Apple user identifier and email address when Apple provides it.
- Learning profile settings such as target language, native language, explanation language, goals, interests, preferred character, and coaching preferences.
- Conversation content, transcripts, short-term conversation state, and optional memory items that help Oshie personalize coaching.
- Realtime audio sent during voice sessions so speech can be transcribed, processed, and answered.
- Usage, quota, entitlement, subscription, and App Store transaction data needed to operate free and paid plans.
- Security and fraud-prevention identifiers such as hashed app install/device identifiers, auth events, and risk events used to protect accounts, quota, and billing.
- Diagnostics and privacy-safe product telemetry such as startup, realtime availability, reconnect, quota, and error states.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate accounts and keep sessions secure.
- To provide realtime voice conversation, transcription, assistant responses, and language coaching.
- To maintain user-selected memory and learning preferences.
- To enforce quotas, subscriptions, and usage limits.
- To debug reliability, prevent abuse, and improve Oshie.
Service Providers
Oshie uses service providers to run the app, including Apple for authentication and App Store purchases, Cloudflare for public resources and edge services, Supabase for account and app data storage, and AI/audio providers such as OpenAI and Google Gemini for realtime conversation, transcription, and model responses. Data is sent to these providers only as needed to operate Oshie.
Memory Controls
Oshie includes controls to pause memory, delete individual memory items, reset memory, export account data, and request account deletion. Deleting account data removes Oshie account records and app-managed learning data, subject to records that must be retained for security, billing, fraud prevention, tax, or legal reasons.
Data Retention
Oshie keeps account, subscription, usage, conversation, memory, and diagnostic data only as long as needed for app operation, security, billing, support, and legal compliance. Product telemetry is kept in a privacy-safe form for operational analysis.
Children
Oshie is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Oshie if you are not old enough to consent to this policy in your country or region.
